We’re proud to announce that we will be transforming the site of a former warehouse in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside.
The development site, which is located in the village of Moira and within the stunning National Forest, will be turned into a high-end residential development of nine quality homes.
The attractive development which overlooks Ashby Canal, on the western side of North West Leicestershire, is a former factory/warehouse site and will include a mixture of three to four bedroom family homes including both semi-detached and detached properties, subject to a detailed planning application.
Catherine Haward, director of Wheatcroft Land, said: “Wheatcroft Land has traditionally concentrated on retail and leisure schemes, so we are delighted to branch out and start focussing on residential schemes in the Midlands.
“This is a really attractive area of Leicestershire with many country and outdoor benefits, including walking and cycling within the forest, which will make it a really lovely place to live and we are excited about bringing it forwards.
“The development is in a beautiful location and our intention is to implement the planning consent of three to four bedroom homes, three of which will be detached and six semi-detached, with a view to completion in Autumn 2019. We are currently working on the detailed design of the homes and we can’t wait to share our completed designs.”
The 0.69 acre site has outline planning permission for nine residential units, which will all be designed to make best use of the canal views with all the properties overlooking the canal from the front of the buildings.
This is the second residential scheme we’re currently working on in the East Midlands, with another 14-unit scheme already underway in Ancaster in Lincolnshire.
